Mileage correction can be needed for a number of reasons, here at rapid miles we understand that sometimes in life things go wrong and you want to fix it with the minimal amount of hassle.

The mileage can jump forward or backwards due to many different reasons for example in BMW’s the mileage is stored in the key unit, CAS,FEM,BDM. If for example one of these are replaced with a second hand unit it will automatically pick up the mileage from the replacement car. Renault store the mileage on the ABS pump so same again if you replaced the ABS pump with a second hand unit it will pick up the mileage from the replacement vehicle. On PSA group cars Citroen & Peugeot’s the mileage is stored in the body control unit, same theory will apply for those cars. On Mercedes vehicles the mileage is stored in the EZS/EIS same again if a key has been programmed and something has gone wrong with that data, the mileage will jump again.
